GH2 w/ Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f/0.95

UPS just delivered the lens today and I have been busy and could not really do a good test so I just shot this short clip of a candle next to a snow globe and table Christmas tree. My wife is having me do a bunch of stuff to get ready for a Christmas Eve party so I will have a hard time to get alot of testing with this combo but there will be alot of time after the Holidays. The lens makes the Panasonic lens look and feel like a toy, it is one nice piece of glass !

Nice. I'm leaning towards the Panny 20/F1.7 myself. My brother's got one for his Oly M43 and I'll try it this weekend.

My GH2 is on its way. The irony is that it's coming from the Pacific Northwest, and while it's been in transit, Unique Photo just 40 minutes away has gotten some stock...

Yeah, Unique Photo has some of the lowest prices on the GH2 lenses but you have to pay the 7% NJ sales tax. I like getting my stuff from NYC to avoid that.

Someone on DPreview asked me to do a test at 1/25th shutter speed and F0.95 with ISO 3200 outside at night so I did one at that setting and another at F2.8 and 1600 ISO.

Back in 1966 when I was up in Alaska with the Army I ordered a Canon Pellix QL with 58mm F1.2 lens from a Hong Kong Canon dealer and at the time Canon had their rangefinder 35mm with a F0.95 lens option and years later wished I had ordered one so now I finally have one.

Better lock up that lens at night - I know where that intersection is

The camera isn't here yet but the Fotodiox M43-K adapter came. I was pleasantly surprised to see the aperture control - the website was vague on that point. Now I don't have to buy the Novoflex.

Here is what might seem a silly question, but in my research I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Is there any way to adapt the Voightlander 25mm to the Pentax K-7?

No, the image circle is for cameras with a 4/3rds sensor and it will vignette just like using a Pentax DA lens (18-55, 10-17mm etc) on a Pentax 35mm body.

Thanks, too bad. I love that focal length and Voightlander . . . it would have been the perfect lens for me. I always hope there is some adapter that can fix anything necessary to get a great lens on my camera.

The closest I have seen to the 25mm F0.95 for the larger sensor is the Canon 24mm F1.4.
