How do you qualify for EPP? The GH1 is tempting but I just got GH2. I'd be more interested in GF2 plus 14/2.5...
as you probably saw yourself - you do not really need to be qualified - you just follow the URL and register yourself - no questions asked

I assume this is USA only even though nowhere in the FAQ or user agreement does the website state this simple fact.

Sheesh.

if Panasonic has issues to ship outside of the states you can try to watch the stock @ Unique Photo - I got body only there @ USD $737 just before the New Year holiday... price was a little more than Panasonic (at the moment I saw something like USD$670 through EPP) - but I had to pay taxes there (Panasonic charges taxes for all US states) and Unique Photo only charges taxes to ship to NJ - so for me difference was very small when taxes were included into calculations and unlike Panasonic I did not have any delays w/ shipment.

I realise it is the USA site, but that doesn't imply they sell only to the USA! Many USA-based websites ship elsewhere, no?

That is true, but generally for multiple brand electronics shops - for the most part from what I have experienced any brand-specific online stores are generally geared to be country specific.

Update: When I tried the Facebook price again I put it in my cart and the price dropped from $425 to $375 so just use facebook to get the $375 price if you don't have an EPP account.

Funny, got my 'backordered' lens today, but the in stock body still hasn't shipped. I think they might've run the charge to my credit card though so hopefully next week.

Scheduled Delivery: Monday, 01/24/2011, By End of Day And the GH1 (4.20 lbs) .
Scheduled Delivery: Tuesday, 01/25/2011, By End of Day

I wish they both came in one box because I have to deal with my wife asking me if it's another camera everytime the UPS guy shows up.

Body came! Battery charging - nice build, feels as light as my GF1 did. Kind of reminds me of my first serious camera, the panny FZ30. Can't wait to give it a go!

Same here, wow it came with an AC adapter, my GH2 did not. I will test it tomorrow when we have another snow storm.
