| Spring arrives in NC
spring is here and birds are all over. some quick snaps from my lunch walks in the park. D7000 with tamron 70-300 VC Blue Jay   Red Carnidal  Don't know?? edit - just found out - White-breasted Nuthatch  Cardinal   Last edited by opiedog; 04-07-2011 at 10:08 AM. Reason: bird name edit | |

My favorite is the red cardinal, though I think it might be better cropped to decenter the bird. I'm currently wandering through NC on a schedule-less trip down the coast and I'm really loving the Triangle area. Which part of NC are you located in? If I might, I'd like to add one I took while exploring Umstead Park this afternoon:  Spring sure does come a lot earlier down here than where I'm from! these shots were taken at Nash square in downtown raleigh and also at parking lot. the red cardinal was one jumpy little bird. i had a tough time following him through the trees. the bluejay was a lot more camera friendly!   | |
