Olympus E-P1 versus Pentax K-x in real life test

Because of the constant argument about Micro Four Thirds, I've decided to use two photos that I took from the same exact place (abiet with different focal lengths) to see how things such as detail and resolution turned out (because of sensor size differences).

Olympus E-P1 with 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 Mark I at 42mm

Pentax K-x with Takumar 70-200mm f/4-5.6 at 70mm

Which one do you think is better? Despite the situation factors, do you think this is an accurate test?

Hard to get into much detail with a landscape like this.

To my eyes the second shot retains a lot more detail, but it's hard to tell if there's a focus issue with the first one.

Anyway, a landscape shot in bright daylight is not exactly a grueling test for any ILC. If this is the kind of shooting you're going to do, you can get acceptable results from virtually any camera.

They both look the same to me. But then again its a small picture and it is landscape.

The shadow details seem better in the 2nd shot.
