rick, there's great detail in that shot.

However, I'm going to ask a favor of you. I frequently surf this site on my iPad and your pics are so large they never load completely before they time out. Could you please resize them to something reasonable and link the larger size as you've done here? That way I can enjoy your pics when I'm away from the computer.

Good work with the cricket shot, rob!

Emacs, interesting that the ultrawide SE 18 is a good choice for portraits in poor lighting! I have observed similar things myself with the Voigt 21/1.8 but hadn't thought of it as clearly as you have said.

I've been trying to shoot with the D600, so wouldn't be appropriate to post here.

Love the composition. And may be better to darken lowest part (trees)? And make a little boost of contrast.

A few from a recent walk in the woods near Niagara during spring with the "dirty old" kit, and one with the F 50 1.7.
The cherries are using the kit and a +3 close up adapter.
