I have another body! Picked up a spare in a hurry before the trip to Istanbul, just in case!

Tell you what, Brent. Get a slightly cheaper house and 10 new lenses!

But this one has 2 fig trees. (And avocados, lemons, limes)

Does sound nice. But... buy the lenses and then go and sell the lemons and avocados on the market to make up the funds!
(eat the figs)

If you lived near buy, I could take partial payment in figs and avocados but with postage it's not going to work, unless you sun dry the figs and not sure what you can do with the avocados... Can you preserve guacamole?

Can finally use the Leica rangefinder with the Nex m39 adapter.

Picture taken with Jupiter 9 85/f2 M39 mount wide open under very bad lightning condition. You can see the CA at the bottom near the black rubber grip.

A thing of beauty, enjoy.

OK here we go with few quick snaps with the Yashica ML 50/1.4 all shot wide open. This lens is really nice no wonder it meant to compete against the Zeiss Planar T* 50/1.4

I'm still learning how to use the Nex properly. I really miss the Pentax in-body stabilizer

Nice pics. Looks like it has very low minimum focusing distance. And yes, the stabiliser would be great!

Thanks Daniel. The MFD of this lens is 0.5m, a typical one for a 50mm

I bought a SEL55210 for my vacation thinking I would simply sell it if I don't like it. But it's not a bad lens at all, a bit slow (in terms of aperture and AF) but still capable of taking fine pictures. Just a quick situational photo now, more samples when I get home:

what fun! I'm a fan of street photography (to see and take) but a lot of it lacks the whimsy and story that you're picture captures.

As a point of curiosity I wonder if the SEL55210 AF will improve significantly on the NEX-5R & 6 with their hybrid sensors. I never seriously considered the SEL55210 because I think would only use it for action shots and reports are that it focuses too slowly for that. I could probably live with the slow-ish aperture if the AF was faster.

Thanks Joel, there certainly was some chemistry between the two of them ;-)

Anyway, the lens is worth it's price IMO and not-so-shallow DOF is sometimes an advantage:

Although it's not enough when the AF is too slow (I was trying to catch the first dove):

For static birds shots it's decent, though the DOF is not as shallow as one could wish for:

Beautiful shots, michelek.
As for me, I did spent a lot of time in hospital, so couldn't do any shooting. Glad everything has passed, and I could join regular pentax party today
Had a lot of fun, and only regret the backgrounds are ... too cheerful for this kind of posing. Wish there were some tanks, explosions, etc

Well, there were some explosions during the Montenegro-Poland football game today, perhaps you should try a football arena next time ;-)

But, seriously - i tried a B&W conversion with your picture (in LR) and it looks more "serious", maybe you find it helpful.
I wish you all the best and hope your health problems are far behind you!
