Great shots, all.

Nice, although square would work much better for this shot IMO.
Maybe, but I don't know if he could quite get the people in the frame. I think they are important. I think the best he could do is 4:3.

This is a good example of how tastes differ. The broad expanse of water on the right is essential to the mood of the photo for me.

This was my thought as well Mike. I like the emptiness/negative space of the open water on the right of the frame and intentionally cropped as a letterbox. Never thought of cropping as square until mentioned but will give it some though (always good to have some CC )

More interesting stuff, Emacs. The last one is my favorite.

Strangely small for such a dramatic building. What function does this perform? It looks so dramatic, in your first shot, and, in the second shot, it looks so small. I see that there are doors, so it's not simply a monument. Is it a small museum as well?

That is perspective and volume deformation caused by cylindrical panorama stitching of very wide field of view: people are quite close, the building is placed further. The wider the FOV, the smaller furthest objects are in comparison.
The building is not in skyscrapper league, still not small either: 90 meters tall, that is comparable to most cathedrals.
Not a museum, BTW, this is the main pavilion of USSR's civil industry exhibition called VDNH.

Taking the perspective distortion into account, it still seems like a low volume building. Still, a cool structure. Thanks for the links, and another nice set.

Can't resist the A6000 and I have been quite happy with the upgrade from 5N. I have been a loyal fan for the 5N and the added viewfinder in the upgrade makes it all sweet. The AF on A6000 is much improved though AF-S can hunt quite a bit in lower lighting shooting. But overall I am well pleased with the upgrade.

Some shots with A6000 along with Sigma 19mm f/2.8 older version on Mt Rose Ski resort in Reno close to North Tahoe area. The pictures were taken in the Slide Bowl and Winter Creek Lodge of Mt Rose

Cheers,
Hin

Nice shots, Hin and Emacs.

Hin,

Was the panorama taken with the built in function? The artifacts appear low, but there wasn't a very large file to look at. A great set.

Emacs,

What a beautiful area, but I really love the ice formations, and the final (snow storm)?

Thanks! It was shot in jpg with the built in panorama mode. I was shooting that scene on the slope taking a snapshot and I happened to have many incomplete panorama shots, I need to practice more to get the best in the turning with consistent movement and leveling from left to right. I got most problem in the speed of panning from left to right. I find it quite frustrating especially when I mess up the shot towards the end or if I run into moving objects that get cut into pieces. Please feel free to share your tips in panorama pictures as I can use some help.

Here is a bigger print

And @Emacs, I love your #5 and it is like a painting to me. #3 is my 2nd favorite.

Cheers,
Hin

I see some Touit shots in this thread. Have you heard the good news?

A6000, Touit 32mm:

I tried the 12mm with CPL on some landscape shots, but it was a mess. The sky showed very uneven colour depth. Fortunately the lens provides CPL-like contrast without a filter.
