Fuji X10 vs Canon S100

Just wondering which one would u guys choose.

The X10 is $100 more expensive than the S100 locally here.

The X10 looks awfully tempting but I want to see what quirks (if any) show up once it has seen real world use for a while. I'm not keen on being an early adopter.

S100 has no hotshoe and X10 is a Fuji. G12 probably, or TL500 (EX1).

If sliding something into your pocket is your thing, the S100 is probably the best small (almost tiny) P&S going. The experiences I have had with shooting other people's S90/5 was quite pleasing and a neat little design. That being said, the X10 would be my choice since it seems to be something more fun to shoot and more enjoyable to operate. Picture-wise, no way of knowing just now, but can only hope the X10 produces some nice results for everyday work and low light (Relatively speaking, of course).

I am waiting to see the full review of the X10...and if the quality is really better than the s100 and justify the additional price, i think i will go for it.

Personally would lean towards the X10 with its manual zoom, overall better external controls (IMHO), hotshoe, and faster lens.
It also includes an adapter to put 52mm filters.

The pluses on the Canon S100 is price, size/weight and GPS.

I hope the X10 is more responsive than the typical P&S digital camera; the IQ so far looks promising.

Too early to tell which has the edge in IQ...
