I think the thing that made me take a second look is that it appears that G-forces are shoving those people backwards, and the foreground one appears to be hanging on for dear life!!

It's sure not the K5+my Bigma, but the X20 will get you a squirrel shot using the 2X digital zoom. At 100% it looks like a watercolor, but at print size, 5x7, it is not all that bad.

Otis said it wasn't worth wasting time with a Toy Camera to shoot squirrels, and as usual he is probably right!

While waiting for my wife who was in the grocery store, since it was raining, I thought I would try to capture a couple shots of rain thinking of the current contest here on PF entitled "Rain". Thought this one was pretty neat for a submission, then realized when I was processing it......I took this with my x100. DOH! Oh well - I kind of like it, so here it is in the Fuji section.

Pretty neat OK! You could change the EXIF, you know.....make it a K5. Of course, I would squeal on you!

Stan, I might get by giving this K5 shot a Fuji X20 EXIF......as long as you kept it small, maybe 5x7?

K5+ Bigma 50-500

X20

However, when you start pixel peeping, the fraud would be all over!

While I certainly could try, it's not that big of a deal anyway. Another plus to this is what you always say - it's the camera you have with you. We only go to town at most once a week, but I always have the x100 with me - hence the rain drop photo.

Also, your example says something else - gets me to wondering if I only need the K-5 w/Bigma and the x100........of course with your studio work you couldn't get away with that.

Also glad you picked the Longhorns for your examples - I always love cow pics! I really miss Will's pics from his ranch.

Yeah, I miss old Will too. Here is a K5 Longhorn just for you Stan! Shot him yesterday...as a matter of fact, I am thinking of buying me a couple of Longhorns. I really like them and they would make great pets along with my squirrels, raccoons, possums, armadillos and other assorted critters. If it didn't work out......there's always Chicken Fried Steak!

Aren't those horns magnificent!
[IMG] [/IMG]

They make good back scratchers too!

Does anyone here have or used both the x100 and x-e1?

I am wondering about the image quality and "fuji colors" of the x-e1 compared to the x100. I am just floored with the images from my x100. I am seriously thinking of getting a used x-e1 to try the to-be-announced Fuji 55-200 OIS lens.

Sounds like a good idea Stan.........what I see from the X-E1 are wonderful! I'm waiting for the upgrade, I might go for it now that they are making some nice zooms.

After a year and a half, I finally gave Mrs Rupert her X10 she got so long ago.....now that I have the X20. She took a lot of shots this weekend when we went out of town for the weekend, and is loving it!

We went to a Roller Derby and she got a lot of shots there...

[IMG] [/IMG]

She even got a shot of old Rupert with the girls!
[IMG] [/IMG]

She also got her first sunset with the X10! She was excited!
[IMG] [/IMG]

So now we have two Toy Cameras! Isn't life wonderful!

Regards!

Well, for some reason I feel the mirrorless cameras are the future. Also, as I've said before, I am on my second K-5 with AF problems, plus I am tired of front/back focusing lenses. I think the x-e1 with the 2 new zooms (18-55 & 55-200) would be a great combo. I would still need to keep my K-5 and Bigma though since I do a lot of long distance wildlife shooting.

Too funny Rupert - after all this time without her x10, she picks it up and does a fantastic job - just like she did at the wedding. She sounds like a very patient woman as is my wife who can pick up any camera and make wonderful compositions. Tell her Stan wants to see some Longhorns from her view!
