Back from a 2wk trip overseas. Did most of my shooting on my film camera, but the X-E1 did get a bit of use:

Ec...That first shot is neat! It just grows on you the more you view it.....I bet I've already opened it a half dozen times. Great colors and the DOF works wonders there.

Pop......I'm sort of nosy, what were you doing in the Far East....are you some sort of spy? You can trust me, I won't tell a soul, and I'll make sure Otis is not around when I read your reply. Anyhow, I love those shots, they are some of the best shots you have posted here. The night shots are spectacular!

Regards!

Nice shots, all. Been a bit of a mixed week.

When my son decides he is OK with having his picture taken (dirty face, notwithstanding):

The critters are back (with a hoya +4 close up lens):

and in the (maple) leaves are finally back (they've been gone since October last year).

One and two are from the 55mm tak, which is proving to be an excellent investment (and is preventing me from buying either the 60mm or the 56mm). The third is from the "kit" lens at 55mm. Spot a pattern here?

I could tell you, but then I'd have to...do something that might make Mrs Rupert and Otis not very happy, and your post count won't increase any more either

We don't want that! Who would feed Otis' gigantic Squirrel Army if didn't? Otis read this and immediately assigned an entire company of his most fearsome squirrels to give me protection 24/7!

Who would want to tangle with a Devil Squirrel ?......Not me!

WOW Pop - amazing night time + neon shots! If Rupert's life is in danger and Otis must protect him, clearly you're a spy - you gave the game away LOL!

ve2vfd - Perfect toystore pic

We had a cool moonrise here - a hazy moon reflecting a salmon sunset. I pulled out the 500mm and gave it a try - it's damn hard to get the colors true to what I saw and it's hard to get enough detail on the moon to make it look like 'mist' rather than 'camera shake' - I think I got close The Tammy sure is fun for moon shots though!

Lovely work going on in here! I must remember to pop in more often, not around so much as I am no longer a Pentax owner..... I await the angry mob with pitch forks ....

But I am thinking of picking up a Pentax Q or Q10... they look like a lot of fun!

Cheers, Steve

You don't need a Pentax to pop in here...just a Fuji! Pop in on Fridays to see if we have any beer....we need to get back on BF. I just bought a 6 pack for $2.42 and I will try to post it on Friday night if I get in from a trip early enough. If not, maybe on Saturday.....heck, it's all the same to me!

BTW- I have room for the new beer, Mrs Rupert threw out 3 six packs last week because I hadn't touched them. I like buying beer more than drinking it.
Regards!

PreAmp Power

This thread is way too far down the list. I drank the beer without documenting it . At least this is glass... Super Macro with the X10 and Low Light mode. It is a point and shoot after all.

Jac...more great use of the Low Light setting! I drank beer too and failed to document it also. Maybe I will pretend this is Friday later this evening...hell, I'm old..what's the difference anyhow?

Went down to San Antone to see my youngest son get his 2nd college degree on Friday. Shot a few with the X20, the celebration dinner afterwards......

Mrs Rupert in red next to the graduate....X20

My son, the graduate, and his wife.... X20

Not so hot for long shots of a moving subject inside..... X20 and a poor shooter!

The best shots I got were with the X10, but unfortunately, I went off and left it on his coffee table.....will have to get it later somehow.

It was a fun trip, just a little too fast for old Rupert! Got in at 2 am this morning, had to be back for an event Mrs Rupert is in today.

Lots of graduates this time of year... Congratulations to all of them, it is a great achievement of lasting magnitude!

Regards!

Yep! Feels like a BF to me! Got a six pack of these for $2.42! Not at all bad either! Got comfy and had a couple tonight....seems more like it's Saturday in reality, but who cares?

Nice! I'd probably pay that much per bottle up here... Congrats on the graduation. I finished an MS last semester myself.

An image from my VERY short journey in Tokyo, i ended up just taking the X-100 with iphone5s and shot mostly with my iphone to post to my FB page . It was one of those trips, "too little time...so much to do".
This was a Chinese Teashop in Takashimaya Dept store.
