He is certainly a poser, ha.

I'm going call Fuji support about sending my 18mm in for an exchange or cleaning. It has way too much dust on the inner elements. The 35mm is clean though. I mail ordered it and should have just waited for it to be in my local pro camera store ( and it is). They would have gave me a new one with no questions asked, stupid me.

Now have to look at mine. I never check for that kind of stuff. Amazon did tell me I had until May 4 to return for full refund or replacement. I had some issues with their shipping. And......I live in the sticks. The closest camera shop is an 45 minutes to an hour away in Austin. Living in the sticks sounded like a good idea in principle, but in practice I'm not so sure. I had the SAB on my X100. Fuji was a real pleasure to deal with, unlike Nikon or Pentax. They fixed it pronto and overnighted it back to me at no charge. The cameras may not focus fast but there repair service is very speedy!

I really like the light and mood in the cat shot.
Thanks, Tuco! I think it was more about the processing than the original light which was nearly non-existent. Thanks be to the X-100, and Nik Software.

Hold it up to the light and look through the rear element with magnification. A spec here or there is no big deal but mine has dust all over. It would be hard in good faith to sell it that way without disclosing it, for example.

I got mine through Amazon too. I just checked. I can return it. I think I will and get the money back option and then go buy it at the camera store where I can check it before the purchase.

Went out with both the X100 and X-Pro1 yesterday, and I'm definitely still in the stage of learning and getting to know the X-Pro1:

20120414 - 003 Old Quad

20120414 - 004

20120414 - 005

20120414 - 007

20120414 - 008 Hadouken

Love the shots coming out of the XP1! It's a real pest that theres no diopter adjuster... Mind you, by the time I can afford it, they will have brought out three more models. I'm just not prepared to sell all my Pentax gear to get it... yet...

When the X-Pro1 runs out of battery life, and you don't have any spare batteries for it, what do you do? Why, sit down, have some food and pull the X100 out of the bag instead:

20120414 - 014 Grill'd Back Bar Steak Sandwich

20120414 - 016 Texting

Carrying just the X-Pro1 and X100 yesterday was great. Small, relatively compact and light, I never felt like I was weighed down by lugging my camera/camera gear around.

I'm liking what I see...both from the X100 and X-Pro....I find the IQ of both to be very similar, at least on my screen.

Stanley....love the Doggies......always have loved Doggies.....but try to think "Wedding" just a little..... I'll give you a few to get your mind on target!

I know my little "Toy" X10 is no match for you guys......but it thinks it is!

Regards! I hope I'm not like that last one....a guy that took on more than he can handle....or did he? He seems to be pretty happy, I hope I can smile like that after the wedding shoot.

Oh man - I am pulling for Ruby! I can't image what you are going through right now.

I hope you were able to get her to the hospital fast enough - where I live there wouldn't be a chance as it would be a 2 hour drive to the nearest facility that would be open on a Sunday.

She had to get the anti-venom. I stayed up there for an hour with her, but I had the other two dogs with me. I'm waiting to hear from the animal hospital now. They are supposed to call between 5 and 6 CST to give me a prognosis. I'm just worried sick about her.

I posted earlier, but guess I failed to hit the button...we are all pulling for Ruby, and hoping for a full recovery. Get back to her if you can, it helps tons if you are there to comfort her and give her some confidence. Doggies are like us, they need to feel our concern and know we are with them all the way.
Regards...and a little prayer for Ruby.
