I didn't get any interesting pictures at this game last night. But here is a salvaged effort on a handheld pano. It was suppose to be a 3 shot pano to include more of the right field but I did too poor of a job at panning to include it. It's really cropped as it is.

Nice! Makes me want to go see a game. Your photos have that feel! Bright and natural! Love those colors. The pan was a great idea.

Did some shooting with the X100 the other night; not having used it for a while (using the X-Pro1 instead), there was a bit of fumbling with the controls and pressing some wrong buttons.

SUNY Maritime College

This is one of my very favorite places in NYC that I found totally by accident. Whenever I get the cars serviced I come here now. These have no PP but I wanted to share them. Room after room of the most amazing things, all in an early 19th century fort on the Sound that has been beautifully renovated. The battery died while I was there (after a week of vacation and tons of photos). A case with the Normandie and other French liner models, then the fort, the upper level looking into the entrance hall, and then one of the propellers from the USS United States--18' across. BTW, I love this camera... There are room after room of models, history, items from the ships, news clippings, uniforms, photos, just amazing, right under the Throgs Neck Bridge in the Bronx!

Very nice! I like seeing new and different places through someone's camera lens! Thanks! There is a maritime museum on the wharf in San Francisco at the north end of Van Ness Ave. Similar, but not the same. Your's has a lot more history and being in the Battery, well that's very special.

Tuco, you like the 18mm Fuji? Had read sharpness was so-so. What do you think?

Why thanks. I hope those characteristics are attributable to a human making the final adjustments to the image instead of the camera's software and algorithms.

Yeah, the reviews are accurate in that regard. Soon as the 14mm and 23mm come out, I doubt I'll use the 18mm again.

Really good work on the baseball photos Tuco!

All you guys post some enjoyable shots and commentary.

Pop....I can relate to fumbling on the controls of your X100 after not using it for a while. I used my K5 last night to shoot some Raccoons, and it felt big and heavy, and I was fumbling on setting exposure and other settings that were, at one time, a snap...second nature.
I haven't used the K5 much since I got the X10 back in November...which is a shame, since the K5 is a superb camera. Now it feels like a heavy brick to me!

I'm waiting now for the Raccoons to show up...maybe I will get some more shots tonight with the 540 flash on the X10. Looks funny, it's bigger than the camera!

Tuco, I don't process much. Mainly because setting at a computer drives me nuts! However, or whatever, you did to produce those images they are nice. You caught the feel of the ball park.

I think I know what's going on here, Rupert. While they've been feasting on your free handouts, they have also been bombarded with subliminal messages from Otis pictures you have surrounding the food stash just out of camera view. Here, we see the first evidence of that manipulation which supplies your photography with subject matter. I guess there really is no free lunch.

Tuco....You could be right, Otis has some powerful brain waves....so he says!.

Got a couple tonight with the X10 and the Pentax 540 flash. Maybe not as good as the K5, but damn close for a Toy Camera!

Smile for the camera!

One got in my shop tonight and helped himself to a bag of dog food......my fault for leaving the door open after dark. Lucky I heard some noise out there, if I had locked him in he would have torn the place apart before morning.

Regards!
