Sharing??? I didn't get a damn thing, and had to eat a bowl of Ramen noodles while thinking of all that delicious food, and wondering if the entire post was just my fate to open for the benefit of torturing me?

Regards!

Stopped by my shop yesterday to see what the crew was working on.
These are scarf joints cut on 8"x12"x 22' Fir timbers. They will become plate beams on a big wraparound porch.

It's Beer Friday! Place your bets! Will old Rupert make a showing or will he come up with a new lame excuse as to why he couldn't participate?
I checked the odds in Vegas, and they said it was illegal to bet on anything that involved "Rupert" or "Otis Squirrel" due to their lack of gambling integrity.
Regards!

You did good work on that handle of Capt's....maybe because you forgot to mix in the coke!

Works for me! I would say any beverage that helps to aid in relaxation after a long week...could be a cold beer, manhattan on the rocks (my drink of choice right now) or a cup of tea.

Here's a brew I enjoyed over the holiday season....and exif info. I like the food parings they provide.

Style: American Brown Ale
OG: 15.5 Plato
IBU: 65
ABV: 6.8%
Availability: Winter Seasonal
Format: Draft & 22 oz. bottles
Food Pairings: Roast Pork, Grilled Sausages, smoked salmon, aged gouda, mild blue, burgers, bread pudding

Don't take this wrong Abie, but you appear to be one of those "uppity drinkers" that matches your drink to your gourmet food. Here we do it a little differently.....maybe I will show you how we do it later....maybe? Have you placed your bet? It's 2pm and I haven't left the house........and there is no beer here excepting that bottle of Modesto that I bought a few weeks ago. Not sure I want to drink it, I might just give it to Otis, he'll drink anything!

Regards!

Here's one for you Rupert. I'd drink it with anything almost, mostly by itself, though.

I bet you guys were betting old Rupert wouldn't make it! Well, I wanted to counter Abie's fine shot and gourmet menu with some Lone Star beer and chili cheese dogs, but Mrs Rupert said no to the dogs and I couldn't find any Lone Star beer where I shopped. Maybe next time!

I had to choose between Shiner Bock or this dark Mexican ale, and I love dark and ale...so I gave it a try. Nice rich flavor, malty and smooth. More like a rich dark beer than an ale, but not half bad.....I bought a 6 pack, and drank all but one....got to go now, Sat morning comes early!

Regards! The distortion is gone when you drink 5 of them!

That's a real Craftsman table or desk, right? The oak looks lovely as does the hex detail. And the photograph of it isn't bad either!

Yes, I'm not sure of the desk's history, but I guess it's probably from the 20's.
It is a true Craftsman era desk.

I decided to make a triptych out of these three photos. All are of things made of Oak, and all were taken with the X100.

As fancy as we get sometimes....a beer and chilli cheese dogs sounds pretty damn good i was drinking the Negra Modelo last time we were down in MEX, pretty tasty on a hot day.

Things for me tend to get MORE distorted as I go
