It seems I forgot that my X-E1 does not have the Pentax SR....focus is a little soft

I can buy this one at the new beer supermarket I'm pretty sure. I saw it browsing a couple of weeks ago and was surprised by it..., or maybe it was a KY beer, maybe even better??

There is a Kentucky Bourbon stout that is readily available here in OH

Another Beer photo from last Friday: from Anchor Brewing, San Francisco, CA, 5.5% Spiced Ale
I liked it but at nine years old it does get a winey taste

Cold, cold, cold! I was up to take some B&W film shots this morning, but the cold was too much for the Bronica - plays hell with the shutter.

Shot with the K-5 and X-E1 instead. This one is with the X-E1 and the XF 35mm on tripod, shot in Raw and PP'ed. The second shot is with the K-5 and DA*50-135.

Worth getting up for. As a matter of interest if you shot raw, what happens with the X-E1 image when you convert in camera using BW+R filter, shadow tone +1 and a little sharpening in post?

Ask and ye shall receive...looks good too. I don't often convert to B&W in digital.

Well thank you for the consideration! I agree that it looks good.
I'm finding myself on a B&W kick at present, due to the excellent abilities of the in-camera simulation. I'm finding the only thing to be careful of is the sharpening in camera - Pentax offers more options and finer control.

A bit of fun around the house today. This is with an MD mount 24mm Seagull lens at around F4 - 5.6.

Sold the X100 and replaced it with the X-Pro1 as the deals were too good. Sold the 18mm as soon as it came through the door, bought a second hand 35 for the same money and sent off for the 60mm.
