That is some very interesting work Colton...and precision in every respect. It can make some fantastic structures...I've seen a few.
For me some good coated screws and some Gorilla glue get 'er done the fast and easy way...but it sure doesn't match what you do.

Regards!

Thanks

Here are a few more from today. All from the X100.

Fantastic series, and I love that last one, so elegantly descriptive of tool and process that the other photos explain. I have great respect for this craft of building, and these show it so well. Great framing and lighting. Did you use snap in focus on those? That seems the easiest way for close up focus on the X100. I, like you did, need to get mine out and use it more.

Thanks, Rupert.
Glue and screws definitely have their place, but there's no replacement for good joinery

Thank you, David.
I have my X100 setup with center point AF-S. I just focus and recompose. That's the quickest and most certain way IMO. I like to always know where my camera will focus, without having to think about it.
All the above images were shot at f/2, except the Japanese slick lying on the timber, which was f/4.

Hello all! Kind of had a crap winter with back-to-back illnesses...but managed to fit some shooting in there...

all shot with the X-E1 and the 35 1.4 except one

A roadtrip, about an hour out of Bozeman...

Oldest going to prom. And isn't he just a dapper thing!

Le Ridiculously Photogenic Cat...

Mailbox Macro shot with the Tammy 55bb 500mm lens... (when you're too sick to go shoot, shoot macro in your own yard!)

Last night's moonrise over Mt. Sentinel... (much post in Silver Efex, man moon shots are a pain!)

Nice one. I like the quality of B&W with the Fuji. Nice composition.

Here's one of mine. Still getting to know the X100, I meant to have this at f8 for better DOF, but I like the color.

Nice work David.
I think the DOF would have worked better had you focused on the closer branch.
Unfortunately, this kind of scene is where the AF on the X100 has trouble.

Those are very nice shots Eddie....the second is just plain gorgeous! I would love to own the X-T1.....but I need some long glass. Fuji is getting there, they just haven't got there yet.
The X-T1 is still the best looking camera out there.....it looks like a real camera, while all DSLRs still look mostly the same.
Regards!
