First full feature movie made with the hacked GH2 !

With Tokina 11-16, Nikkor 28mm / Nikkor 50mm and the old patch 42 mbit/sec hack. Download the 499mb MP4 video file to view on a large monitor/HDTV for best quality.

It's most likely so the subject and shooter can move around while maintaining a strict distance from each other. I guess that works out to be cost effective way of working with a thin DOF.

Hope this helps.

BTW. I thought the clip was pretty amazing considering the equipment. And I perceived only a few short segments where I sensed the format quality was questionable, but it was not nearly enough to notice had I of not been looking for it. - just amazing.

PS. I initially watched the video by default(non HD), however, after writing this I watched it again in HD and I realized just how amazing it truly is. - it's pure genius! and an inspiration to all. I wonder if the people who made this will publish some tutorials on how they accomplished this?

That was amazing! Really professional. I watched it at full screen on a 27" monitor and I couldn't tell the difference between that and a 'real' movie that comes on a DVD. Intriguing trailer too, I'd probably go watch that movie

Wow. Looks stunning. Kudos to the DP for sure. And it's great to see the production shots with the cheap $30 shoulder rig, budget steadicam, and Cokin hoods. Just goes to show how important talent is in the overall equation...

I could. It was missing all those dark scenes where you can't even tell what's going on to hide all the computer generated graphics that Hollywood does today.

Nice stuff.

BTW here's an interview with the filmmaker, Gami Orbegoso (Vesubio?), about this piece, where he details the equipment he used, among other things like budget (less than $5,000), shooting time (7 days), crew (himself, wife, daughter, and friend), etc:

Musgo Intro (first 5 min.)

For best quality download the Original .MP4 file (1920x816 / 1GB) and view on a large 1080p HDTV or monitor.

Pretty neat stuff! I'm not into video, but glad you guys are! It is pretty fantastic to be able to compete with Hollywood!
I have to be careful around here....I left my K5 on the deck table once and Otis shot a Squirrel Porn movie with it. You talk about some sick porn.......I had no idea how nasty Squirrels could be! Try to get that thought out of your head!

Regards!
