I recently bought an OMD EM10 and 12-40mm F2.8 Pro lens.

Well, I decided to see how well this setup shot using an Infrared filter. For B&W infrared, it seems to do excellently, easily giving the "wood effect", even with the trees nearly leafless. The best thing is, I can shoot at 400-640 ISO hand held using the 720nm filter, no need for a tripod!

Anyway, here are a couple of photos just outside my shop. I need to take it out this weekend to get some better IR photos.

These are my first IR photos I've tried to take. I am just using a cheap $22.00 720nm filter from Amazon.

So is the m43 sensor more sensitive than our apsc sensors to infrared?

Not more sensitive, the em10 just has a weaker ir filter in front of the sensor than in some other cameras, so infrared light can get to the sensor on the em10 easier.

Couple more IR shots using the OMD EM10 and 12-40 f2.8 Pro lens.

These are still at my shop, so they aren't the greatest. I did find a still green tree though, so I could test out how this camera can really render the "wood effect"

Tried not to PP for bling and punch but just for a realistic tonal range.
A backlight shot at about 40 feet at 560mm.

Well I tried my hand at converting the images to color IR. There is a lot to learn to make nice color IR images, here is my first go at it.

I'll need to get out to some more scenic areas to get some better photographs, these were just taken at my shop.
