Keep posting up! Welcome back for some posters and to some new ones, it looks like.

I've just been going through some of my older shots with the E-PL1 and 17mm F2.8. The colour on that sensor was great. Will post soon.

Great shot. Everyone said that lens wasn't great, I sold one and got the Panasonic 20mm f1.7, but I sometimes wish I still had that 17.

The 17/2.8 is pretty much the only m4/3 lens I've ever had for my E-P1. I bought them as a refurb set along with the OVF for that lens. The E-P1 and 17/2.8 make such a great pair that I was never really that tempted to get another lens. I too have read many a review claiming the lens isn't that good, but I never put much stock in them. Sure, if you're shooting test charts it has its flaws, but if you just get out and take photos with the 17/2.8 it's a great little lens, especially considering that nowadays it sells for around $100.

Rainbow Lorikeet. These natives are common on the east coast of Australia, and have adapted well to urban areas. This one is quite used to people, and I could have probably shot him in close quarters with a 45mm or something (2x plus 40-150mm happened to be on the camera when he came).

He better be careful. Playing with fire such as that will get more than his finger burned.
