So I bought the E-PL6 kit a few weeks ago. I wanted a small camera that I could take with me easily to use for more casual, fun, shooting.

What a super nice little camera! My only complaint is that it isn't quite as pocketable as I'd hoped. But I think it'll be fine once I can save up for one of the pancake primes.

How does modern 4/3s do in low light?

I've been very impressed with the E-PL6 in low light. I only have the kit lens and occasionally shoot at iso 2500 just because I have to and while I wouldn't print huge prints with those shots they are much better than I was expecting.

Differences are visible @100%, but for print sizes negible. In comparison possibilities to push the shadows are a bit limited. The AF is much better in low light than my K5 though.

I LOVE my EM10. Seriously, do not think I will go back to Pentax for digital.

Facelifting the Oly

I have had an Olympus M43 for a few years.
Recently I noticed a comment, I think on PF that accessory prices are low.
Until now I just had the body, not even an M43 lens, I mostly used it with old Pentax 110 18mm lens.

So searching for lowest price I found an "Open Box" lens. It is an M Zuiko Digital14~42mm 1:3.5 -5.6
An ordinary kit lens I think, but it does have a manual focus ring. ( I set S_AF +MF trim)

Then added a superseded VF-3 electronic viewfinder on a special price from Japan.
This EVF has adjustable diopter which I need now. A firmware update to allow the VF-3 went smoothly
The EVF provides a major improvement to the usability of the camera.

I have set the camera just to make 1600 by 1200 camera jpgs of about 600 kB for faster files.
I think the Oly's best feature is its intelligent fill flash mode.
The downside is that there is about half a second hesitation for the exposure after the button is pressed.

All in all I am pleased with the updates, for a small outlay. Anybody can use this camera.

Which body are you using?

If you like longer lenses the 40*150 kit lens is surprisingly good. I also like the Sigma DN lenses.
