Cafe Bracelet

OM-D E-M5 II with Pentax M 28mm 2.8. Amazingly sharp on MFT, even wide open. Cant remember the f-stop here, though. Probably stopped down a bit. Just a pleasure to focus manually, all metal, quality from the old times. I need some other shots for bokeh.

Slightly tweaked the tone curve, nothing else. The OOC jpg would have been ok too. BTW, sharpness is -2 in the camera and I didnt touch this in OV3.

I used to ride around with my Q7 kit, but the lack of a view finder did it for me. Even got a "Hoodman" for it but still not that great. So now I have the E-M10 with the two kit lenses. The 14-42 I would say is better than any of my Pentax kit lenses. Think now I am moving away from Pentax as this Oly camera is so much fun and the picture quality is great.

Nice shots!

As an aside, I find my 12-32mm is sharper at f/4 than it is f/7.1 - you may want to try couple of test shots with yours.

Thank you very much. I agree, but with the GM1, I need to keep it at or below 1/500 for the mechanical shutter, as the E-shutter definitely results in degradation of the image (10 bit capture apparently, rather than 12). This can be tricky in direct sunlight. I probably should just get a filter. Or a GX85.

Got a Olympus OM-D E-M10 with kit lens for $400 + kit tele for $99 + bat charger with 2 spare batteries for $25 + T2 adapter for the 560mm scope $10.
Was an offer I couldn't refuse so I pulled the trigger. Mostly bought it to use with the scope and just to mess about with. Just using it about the house I'm surprised how good the two cheapo plastic wonder kits lens' are - very decent. Better than the Pentax kit lens considering the sensor size.

Only time will tell at this point how well it will match up to the scope. At this point I'm still struggling with a different system but given time it should work out OK.
Note: Just for comparison the Oly with the scope gives me 26x magnification and the same scope gives me 60x mag with the Pentax Q-S1.

Will keep in touch as I learn.

Two quick and dirty jpgs with no PP and the Cat bird shot in RAW with full PP in PS.
