SOOC jpeg shot from E-M5. Completely untouched. I like how it turned out.

Took this yesterday during lunch break. The man was very confident while I was taking several shots.

How do you like the GX7? I recently sold my EPL5 and was considering another EM5 or maybe a ep5.. but I have been curious about the GX7. What are your thoughts on the body and how does it compare to your other or previous bodies?

thx

I like it a lot, especially how the body and controls fall to hand. I like the evf (located in the corner), and the tilty screen (if the K-01 had a tilty screen, I may not have tried anything else). It is
very comfortable to use, and the panasonic CD Focus is a revelation after the not-so-stellar CDF on the K-01. In short, it fills the roll I had in mind for it (carry everywhere snapshooter) perfectly
so far. My only gripe is the much shorter battery life (compared to the K5).

My other/previous bodies are the K5 and long before that, a Nikon D50, so I don't have anything of the same ilk to which to compare it.

Cool.. Yeah i found the battery life on MFT bodies in general were much shorter life. I now carry backups with me. I just pulled the trigger on a E-P5. Really excited about this camera body. Similar style to the GX7 but without the evf.. I have the removable evf already so i am set.

I love the rangefinder style of camera bodies....

The absence of an EVF on the e-p5 was one of the biggest points against it when I was trying to narrow down the m43 playing field. I hear that the vf4 is outstanding, but it adds to the cost, and is another thing you have to carry around.

Ultimately, for my level of expertise (using the term generously), any of the current crop of m43 cameras will provide more than enough photographic potential, so the haptic component plays a big part in my decision.

I like m43 a lot. I mostly take pictures of my kids, and it works excellent.

For example, in this shot the face detect feature put focus on the eyes, and metered off the face, which caused the image to be made brighter. So focus is nailed and metering is nailed.

And the image looks great, too.

I gifted myself with a Novoflex Pentax K - m43 adapter. Below are a couple of initial attempts, first with the FA77 and second with the FA 43...
