Just ordered a Pentax 10-17 fisheye but see that I can bundle that with a K-3 for a $100 savings on the lens. On the other hand the GX7 body only is now priced at $497 at Adorama and on Amazon. Cancel the fisheye only and order it w/ a K-3 or cancel the fisheye and order the GX7. Too many temptations.

Can't really advise you but.... M43 has a huge lens selection and very fast AF. The GX7 with the Samyang/Rokinon 7.5 fisheye would be a great combo. APSC of the K3 offers advantages as well. What to buy these days is often a tuff decision. I sold 99% of my Pentax gear when i went to M43 (just kept a couple lenses for use with an adapter).

Now the G6 has dropped in price. 429.99 w/ 14-42 ii lens (which I don't need) at Panasonic Direct.
Are all of the prices dropping for the pre-Christmas present purchasing or is Panasonic going to come out with an upgrade, maybe a G7 with several of the GX7 features?? With prices this good on both cameras it makes it hard to choose. Nice photo, btw.

I've been very satisfied, too, with the photos from my G3 but then I also like my K cameras. I have more lenses for the Pentax system than my Panasonic, although I know I can use the Pentax ones on the m 4/3rds w/ an adapter. Like your black and white photos.

I usually select what meets my needs and buy regardless of the "next latest or greatest" incarnation. The EP5 was dinged to no end in the reviews. I waited until the price was dramatically reduced and purchased one. I've never regretted the purchase and Oly eventually fixed a problem that I never experienced. Choose the features you want, what meets your needs and you can easily afford. Almost any camera on the market today will produce great images. Bodies turn over quickly so i'd recommend getting excellent lenses as your priority.

I was almost ready to purchase the K-3 but decided to go with the GX7. I know that they are very different cameras but with the current pricing on the GX7 I couldn't resist.

thanks they barely resemble the originals which i uploaded but didn't touch. The E300 is a surprisingly good little 8mp camera (and an SLR with a VF in the spot traditionally associated with a rangefinder - I really liked that despite the smallish finder. I think the big thing for me was moving up to better software, back then I used CS2 and poorly (self taught)

This guy is my room-mate in Goa India. He's quiet, keeps to himself and does a great job of keeping the insects away from me
