Lonesome Wyoming
by John Flores, on Flickr

Shot with the GX85 and the 35-100 Vario collapsing zoom lens, a mighty little combination!
Bravo, sir!
That lens is pretty decent, both up close and at distance, stopped down a touch.
I do find that a few of the M43 lenses are not as strong at distance/landscape shots.

That first image is wonderfully evocative and mysterious. It looks like lighting set up by a Hollywood cameraman to create a "haunted forest;" a place where Hobbits dare not travel.

Many thanks!
A case of being out in a golden sunrise, with big shadows and beautiful snow covered cedars. Given that it was -24C when I took this, I was surprised to see the water in the stream was still flowing.

Our white Christmas came a day early - but it didn't melt! That makes two in my lifetime, the other being 2008.
GX1 and Lumix 45-150mm, slight crop nothing else.

Last time i was in Sydney and Nowra at this time of the year it was 42 and we had bush fires. We escaped to the Blue Mountains, which was a lot nicer at 35!

I'm planning an escape to the shaky isles to see family in February, so fortunately, I'm going to have a break. Balmy -2C this morning. Currently snowing like crazy, but.
