I prefer the red-white-&-blue version, not that I'm being patriotic or anything, the colors just grab and hold my eyes.

Here's an under-paid employee at Disney World. What did he expect? The job is all muscle, no brains required.

Good fortune today sunrise within 2 hours of the vernal Equinox, and clear skies to check alignment of our 'standing stone'! I must say that's almost squarely on the 1980 'update' to Mt. St.Helens summit. Tomorrow says clouds and rain, so this will have to do.

Awesome photography. What a great idea. I am confident that my wife will really enjoy this photo.

Thanks,

There were a couple other creative ideas around that show at Epcot. Three examples

1) A topiary dragon at the China pavilion. Not practical for a home garden, by I love the aloe-like headdress.

2) A topiary dog, made of straw and I think large seeds or beans (coffee beans?) for the nose, eyes and a few other areas.

3) A potted gardener and his potted pet. I thought these where a hoot and definitely could be done for a home garden, and they won't need watering.

On that pair I prefer the monochrome. The deep blue sky is a bit distracting in the color version, The near-black sky in the B&W sets off the church. You can do things with contrast in B&W that look awful if you convert back to color.

Two images from a night-time light show at DIsney, Gaudy, but also a visual feast well-worth the trouble to go and see.

A few from me. The first is of an Arctic wolf and using the Oly 40-150mm f2.8 (and @150mm and f2.8). Fab lens. The other two are in London and using the trusty Oly 12-40 f2.8. The third is of a development by an architect whose work I really like, Renzo Piano:

I continue to be surprised and impressed what MFT can do. The singer is in the "Festival of the Lion King" show at Disney World. Unpredictable lighting and fast-moving performers = very high ISO, but even in this modest crop the IQ is more than acceptable. This fellow is what I think my daughter would call "buff."

Two different drummers. Japanese are about style, Africans are about emotion.
