A feeder - or a nest if you can find one - is about the only place to capture a hummer. The female(s) visited more often. lingered longer, and held a position longer than the male(s). I never saw more than two birds at the same time, so I don't know whether there were several males & females, or only one pair.

Olympus 300mm f4 + Olympus 1.4X TC = 420mm actual, 840mm FF equivalent.

I picked up a Panasonic GM1 with the 12-32 kit lens a couple of weeks ago for $300 CAD on clearance. I've been toying with the idea of a small pocket camera for a while, and this deal was too good to pass up.

This shot was taken from my front porch following a storm. I used the iA+ setting, hand held, and let the camera do its thing. To say I was astonished is an understatement. The iso is 3200 so a little noisy, but for online, very acceptable.

This is the raw file, full frame, strictly exported to low res jpeg with no additional processing.

This little camera is a blast. The only frustrating aspect is the touch screen is small and my fat fingers are too big.The in camera processing is amazing. I quickly picked up a Panasonic 9mm fisheye and a used Panasonic 42.5mm F1.7 prime. The fisheye is a blast. I haven't had so much fun with a cheap lens in a long time.

The camera is for pocket use street photography, so I won't buy any further lenses for it. I have my K-3 for longer lens shooting.

It's a tossup on that pair, but I'm little inclined to the color version because the rust on the engine, emphasizing its age, catches the eye a little better than in the B&W image.

Thanks for your input. Tend to agree on the color version.

I've posted other images of this crab, but I cannot remember if I posted one on this thread. Sorry if it is too similar to an earlier post here.

Yes, the GM1 is a lot of fun. Full control in such a tiny package. I took this image of my son riding his skateboard with the GM1 (he wasn't moving insanely fast, but was getting along at a fair clip). I used the little tiny flash to try and put some illumination on him, but I ended up adjusting things in Lightroom. The original was jpeg.

I've owned the GM1 twice now, after regretting selling the first one. I also bought one for my son to use if I can ever convince him to do some photography :-)

Got the leather case too (they're cheap as chips). It fits the GM1 with the 12-32mm, or the 14mm, but unfortunately doesn't manage to fit the 20mm (but it's a fun camera with the 20mm too)!

I don't use it too much really, but it comes in handy for those times when I just want something small and light but better than a phone!
