Who doesn't love bendy lampposts and trees!

Fisheye fun on the wknd. GM1 + Olympus 9mm fisheye pancake. I froze my butt off by the river. The temp was slightly below freezing, but there was a stiff breeze off the water that magnified the wind chill.

I think this lens is the best bang for the buck. The colours and contrast are excellent. A little sharpening in post is generally all that is required. These images are uncropped full image.

"bANG FOR THE BUCK" is a good description. Remarkable IQ for such an inexpensive lens.

A very tough assignment for any lens and the plumage detail in that photo is as fine or better than I've ever seen.
With the image referenced here I came very close to filling the frame. If you can do that, the Oly 100-400 willl deliver the goods. If you end up cropping, perhaps the pro teles will help just a bit more? Of course, nowadays, there's not a lot of difference between a real good lens and a pro lens.

GM1 + Lumix 42.5 F1.7.

A few more shots from the wknd. As I mentioned, it was extremely cold and windy by the waterfront. My hands were numb and I was shivering, so trying to make adjustments using the touchscreen was very difficult. On top of that, the LCD was very dim plus with reflections, to be virtually useless in the bright sun. Good thing the 42.5 lens has O.I.S.

The shots of the ship are heavily cropped. Realistically, I need a much longer lens for those kind of shots. I was getting extremely frustrated. The pancake was much more fun.

Really happy you enjoyed the image. I converted to B&W because the color original just didn't look right to me.
