Thanks for the worry. My whole family got sick, but everything is gradually getting better. Apparently it got too cold this year. September in Latvia was very cold.

A couple of years ago, I noticed that the camera, when you turn the shutdown lever, remains on, continues to work. I consulted the Olympus service, the answer was 230 euros ... On the specialized forums, the answer was one - repair. The problem seems to be known. But something in the behavior of the camera told me that the problem was in the software. After the procedure, I discharged two batteries, there was never a problem with shutdown, everything is clear and fast.
Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II
FULL factory reset:
Turn off the camera.
Press the MENU button. Keeping it pressed, turn on the camera.
Release the MENU button and press it again to enter the menu.
Go to the LCD brightness adjustment menu, located in the third item of the settings menu (with the image of a wrench).
Press RIGHT Arrow key to highlight the brightness adjustment slider.
Click OK. The camera will show a line with the name of the camera
Press and hold the MENU and OK buttons at the same time. Keep holding until the reset request menu appears. Click OK and turn off the camera

It looks ridiculous. Perhaps it can scare the local fauna.

Originally posted by Davep I was out with the Lumix GM1 + Leica 25 last week. The GM1kit is the ideal hiking solution for me. I take the GM1 with the 12-32 it lens, Olympus 9 fisheye, Leica 25, Lumix 42.5 all in a small Domke shoulder bag. The complete kit weighs only 1000-1250 g and I don't notice it.
The blown out highlight in the first shot is a disappointment. I softened it up a little in post, but my skills are very basic at best. At least it is an improvement over the raw image.
BTW, I very seldom crop images in post. I enjoy the satisfaction of attempting to frame and shoot a good crop when shooting primes. I consider the warts (defects) as part of the shooting experience and enjoy my miscues all the same.
I don't like cropping either. I don’t know why.
