I assume you're keeping your K-5 for all your long lenses.
Yes. I toyed with the idea of selling out the K5 and Pentax gear, at Mrs Rupert's insistence I that limit my camera gear to one system, but I'm still running this show (at least until she reads this), and I love my K5 too much to part with it. You can't really "replace" it...just add something different to compliment it.

Regards!

I am saving up for a used K-5
But of the recent announcements, the new Olympus E-M5 has caught my attention.
Never thought I would consider a micro four thirds camera but this one looks interesting.

If you are really interested in MFT I have a very lightly used G3 I'm willing to part with at a very favorable price. It's the same sensor as the new Olympus uses.

The K-5 is the first camera I've bought since I got into digital SLRs where I intend to keep it until it wears out on me. I'll add other cameras, of course, but the K-5 is such a great workhorse for so many different things I think it will last me quite some time.

Oh and Rupert, I hope you're planning on getting that Pentax 560 mm. I want some extreme Festus action to fully test out that lens.

I want Fuji x-pro1 when it is well reviewed. Right now I am happy with x-10, K-x, K-7, and the full-frame film cameras.

If I had any money I'd snap up the Olympus E-M5. Everything the K-01 should have been, plus more.

That really is a beautiful camera packed with features. I am interested in the 5 axis image stabilization. I wish the NEX bodies had gone with something like that.

I think this technology is the way forward and that in five years it will be standard fair.

Also pre-ordered K-01 for earliest possible delivery (I think I am about 10th in line at B&H). Very uncharacteristic for me. I don't even have a K-5 yet. This is an experiment to see if all my digital needs can be met by a great sensor and LV and a (still very good for ISO 100-400) sensor and VF (K10D). I an of course trying to optimize compatibility of (mostly) MF lenses. I think this will work - and I'll upgrade the dSLR after Ricoh cleans up manufacturing control processes.
I actually think that's going to be a good complimentary kit. And that K10D sensor is very good at ISO 100 - exceptionally sharp, colorful images all over the place from that sensor.

On a related note, I think I quelled my 'gotta buy camera stuff!' urge for a while with the iphone 4s. It will tide me over for a while even if it's not the hard stuff.

.

(I'm looking hard at the D800, but really want to see what Pentax and Sony come up with in 2012.)

I just got me a hot new camera, the Moskva-2 from 1950, a Super Ikonta C clone it is. I'm looking to splurge maybe on a Plaubel Makina old style
