yeah, i hear that excuse a lot. "it sucks now, but someday it won't". it's a fundamentally flawed device. the basic principles upon which the lytro is based mean that it will never be a practical option for the vast majority of camera users. light field photography in general has a lot of potential, but the lytro is nothing more than a gimmick created to make a quick buck.
