Collecting M-mount lenses

NEX-5N with Voigtlander VM Silver adapter and Leica Summaron 1:2.8/35mm lens:

Top profile:

My current M-mount collection (I have been trying to buy exclusively chrome lenses to match the NEX-5N body, but ended up with a black Summicron-M because it was the sharpest out of all the ones I tested):

From left to right:
  • Carl Zeiss Biogon 2.8/25 ZM
  • Carl Zeiss Planar 2/50 ZM
  • Leitz Wetzlar Summaron 1:2.8/35
  • Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Summaron 3.5cm 1:3.5
  • Voigtlander Nokton Classic 35mm f1.4
  • Leitz Wetzlar Summarit 1:2.8/90
  • Leitz Wetzlar Elmar 1:4/135
  • Leica Summicron-M 1:2/50

To complete the collection, I need an ultra wide-angle, and also a 75mm, but I can't find any in chrome. Arguably I don't need 3 35mm lenses and 2 50mm lenses, but I can't bear to part with any of them yet.

1) Of course they are. Although I have better hit ratio with manual leica lenses and nex-5n than I had with fa limiteds and K-5.
2) biogon, planar and nokton 35 1.4 are modern

Nice collection! It's cool to see how old glass can still be paired with bleeding-edge technology and it matches so nicely.

Very nice collection. You can be very happy with these fantastic lenses.
Are you sure you use the right camera for these fine glass?
The Sony is a fine camera with the sony lenses.
But on Reid Reviews we see that the Ricoh GXR-M is due to the lack of the AA filter much better in details, sharpness and corner reproduction when using m-lenses.

And this is the photo I was taking:

What kind? In the US there was a "wood ibis" until it was discovered that it was not particularly closely related to the ibis and it was promptly renamed to "wood stork".

Not on the latest batch - the previous set there is some PP I think.

I tend to find with Leica lenses the images are so good out of the camera i often don't need to do PP.

Here is an example with PP (I exaggerated the colours to emphasise the shallow DOF):
