645D eat your heart out- Nokia phone has higher resolution!

The Nokia 808 Pureview is described as having a 41Mpixel camera.

Nokia Europe - Nokia 808 PureView with 41 MP camera ? Specifications

More info here- seems that there really are 41mp;

OK, so there's obviously no real comparison to the 645D here, but I guess they could put one of these crazy sensors in a Pentax Q. I'm quite curious to see how much the lens on these phones actually resolves.

Ok, this is about the same topic

... but it isn't Pentax related!

So, everybody will miss it and create another thread. I created one in the appropriate forum, pls follow.

I suggest this thread be closed as duplicate (I actually created the other thread a few seconds earlier ).

Wow. I would be very surprised if this actually outresolves any 10MP (or 6MP for that matter) DSLR with a reasonably sharp lens. The very definition of pointless.
Hmm. They say it has a 1/1.2" sensor?

But since it does zooming-by-crop, that whole area is only used at the wide end.
