Put a viewfinder and the Fuji X10 Sensor in that Q and I would own it in a heartbeat. It's a good looking camera and I hear very well made too.

Thats amazing, Nikon really hit the spot with the d800, great to see the Q being in top anything, I'm surprised actually, I would have thought the K-5 would be Pentax's top seller considering how cheap it is right now.

Indeed, you made me look.

K-5 is now $999 in USA from the only vendor I buy new gear from:

Still about half the cost of another D700 or 5D Mark II which I plan to buy in a couple months, for the wife.

Now if Pentax K-5 would drop below $700 new like my K20D did then I'd buy one.
One third of D700 or 5D II cost would make me pull the trigger on K-5 seeing as I still own alot of my Pentax glass still.

And the 2nd best is the 2 lens Pentax Q kit at number 58.

When I was in Japan a month ago there seemed to be lots of Qs on display for people to play with and a lot of them have been quiet worn from use. It seems like people wanted to play around with them a lot, since it's so small. It was especially liked by women and the women there are tiny. I guess it goes hand in hand.

Tell me what you want, but the interest into APS-C dSLRs in Germany currently is marginal. The 5th position of the dated 5D says that people look for FF in any price range. Moreover, a new retail 5DmkII sells for about what used to be K-5's launch price +10%. The €1000+ APSC SLR segment is dead already.

If I include other ILC categories, there is little change: The first change is at #6: Fujifilm X-Pro1. Further down come A77 and NEX7.

If I include kit offers too, the ranking doesn't change except for the duplicate entries.

It means Germans are rich?

Been on hold to buy any Pentax glass for more than 5 months already.... those money in my piggy bank will likely go to Pentax FF (well, not at the price of D800 and 5DIII but 5DII), if they want it.

Not a good sign for Canon that 3 of their own APS-C camera bodies, and 3 from Nikon are outselling their brand new MKIII, which sits at number 8.

Always difficult to find, but what I see overhere is that Canon 7D is the number 1 camera in sales.

As I said, Nikon did not foresee demand of a FF camera specced like the D800. Nor did anybody in management elsewhere or we would have seen such a camera much earlier.
