Fuji GW690

I am interested in dipping my toe into the medium format lake, so I was wondering if any of you guys have any experiance with the Fuji GW690?
I actually like the fact that its fixed lens (helps curb LBA). I've also wanted a RF camera for a while, so this one scratches 2 itches

Thanks in advance

I have long lusted after a Mamiya 7, I have always loved the medium format rangefinder combination

If you are doing B&W processing yourself I say defiantly go for it. Even if you are not processing your own stuff I still say go for it! Win, Win.

I've seen a bunch of images from the various Fuji MF rangefinders over at the getDPI forums and it looks like the Fujinon lenses are pretty stellar across the board. That said, I've also heard a lot of users mention the very plasticky build...

If you aren't set on 6x9 format, consider the GA645 series. Killer optics, autofocus(!), great metering, great build quality, and a viewfinder that puts everything short of a view camera to shame.

Seems you can't go wrong with any of the Fujis (I've yet to try one); you'll probably get your money back if you didn't like it and sold it on.

The Fujis are really excellent "little" cameras. I've been thinking about the GW690 myself for a while. I've tried the 645 models and they also are excellent cameras (as mentioned GA645 is AF, good metering etc) the only reason I don't look for a 645 is I lust after the 6x9 (or maybe the GW670 - the Texas Leica lol)
