The DSC-R1? That was a 1.67x crop camera, but it was also far from being a compact camera. The review is talking about compact cameras with large sensors.

That's got to be about the weirdest looking camera I've seen. It has the styling of a camcorder more than of any DSLR or P&S. I like the off axis hot shoe though.
