Canon EOS 7D Firmware 2.0 released! - FM Forums

This latest version is packed full of new features and improvements. Check it out:

1. Increased maximum burst during continuous RAW shooting (from 15 frames to 25 frames)
2. Support for the GPS Receiver GP-E2 (optional accessory)
3. In-camera RAW processing
4. In-camera rating function
5. JPEG resizing
6. Quick Control during Playback
7. Audio Level Adjustment
8. Manual File Naming
9. Faster scrolling of magnified images.

That's interesting to see an 67% increase in frame for continous shooting just via a firmware update...it's either they totally screwed up the initial firmware or they intentionally left room for later improvements...

I was hoping for 1D Mk IV transformation but i'll take any update.

Since discontinuing the 1D Mk IV the 7D is the #1 cropper from Canon, hopefully they will have another software update and i will have a 1D Mk IV in a 7D body

So far there has been mixed reports on better IQ in the higher ISO images, i'm in the pool that can't see it but i'm blind?!?!
