The RX100 is really proving it's worth for snapshots on weekends away; these from New Year's Eve in Cornwall:

Last one using the on-board 'bounce flash'.

Really nice shots, and great use of the bounce flash.

Amazing pictures! you guys are true artists!

I just got an RX100 and love it!

Would anyone mind posting tips and how they have the camera setup, and post processing steps, esp for the high ISOs?

Thx.

No more shots with the RX100 m2 from me, as I sold mine…..

in order to go towards an RX10 - didn't see the point in having both, although the 100 is more pocketable.

Haven't given the RX10 a full work around yet, but early indications are that the optics are fantastic with f/2.8 max across the range and it feels good in the hand. I have outdoor coats with an inside pocket big enough for it, so will be a good wet weather camera when I see it as little value bringing my Nikon and Pentax gear with me.

This is a shot from soon after purchase:

Well, that's the problem for me, I find this camera so good that I often find no value bringing other gear with me.

An interestin non-scientific experiment.

Two shots taken side by side - they were slightly edited - just wanted to show the IQ of the Sony stands up well against against the Nikon 35 1.8G and a 16mp APS-C sensor
