With Photokina within arms reach, results are pouring in from all corners of the interweb with sightings and leaks for upcoming products. That being said, according to Sony Alpha rumors, the latest on the street is that the A99 will have an estimated street price of $2800.00 along with what looks like a detailed spec. list complete with body styling sketches. The announcement date for the A99 is slated for Sept. 12'th of this year.

Trusted sources claim that the A99 body will be introduced at/or around $2800 Dollars. Though prices are expected to vary from country to country. In other information the A99 is expected to bring a number of unique features into the DSLR market as the only FF hybrid still and video translucent mirror system packed with new and innovative features.

It will be interesting to see how the A99 will stack-up against the upcoming D600 in terms of IQ and overall performance. Though with improvements such as increased shutter performance, it's likely that Nikon will use the price point advantage with their upcoming D600. - time will tell.
