Adapting an Auto Mamiya/Sekor ES 1.8/55mm to EOS

Hi, I've recently acquired an Auto Mamiya/Sekor ES 1.8/55m lens. Does anyone know if this lens is adaptable to a Canon EOS mount?

The lens as it is does not screw into the m42 adapter I have. I've done some research and from what I can tell this mount is the same as the SX series mount. It seems people are saying I'll have to grind down one of the lips on the mount for it to fit an m42 adapter - is this indeed what is required/the only possible route? If so, which lips need to be removed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pictures of the lens below
