So, PENTAX should hurry to file their patent to watermark shots with one of the files REG001.pef to REG005.pef found on the SD card. Those files are allowed to be Iris shots, of course. New Iris Macro lens to appear on PENTAX lens roadmap.

Its a good thing that the camera is looking into the eye. If it looked into the ear it might see allthe way through to the daylight on the other side.

Does this mean that the camera will be able to identify if you are drunk (or worse) because your pupils are dilated.

How about anti theft. a non registered user can be blinded if he picks up your camera.

need I go on.

They don't need this. we already have fingerprint recognition. they could easily build this into a camera, or do the same post processing in meta data on a computer. Since it is not written to each file at the instant of capture, it can also be easily stripped away by another program later.

More likely,. someone found a use for the eye controlled focusing sensors a couple of years ago

Actually, yes...there was an article on it (somewhere). Instead of a Breathalyzer they would put this VR shroud looking thing up to your face and it would analyze your eyes and their movements.
