black magic pocket cinemacamera

This looks like a fantastic moviecamera!

- m43 mount
- 16mm filmformat
- CinemaDNG RAW and Apple ProRes™

That backscreen looks great, can we have that on our camera's? 3,5" 800x480 resolution.

Phenomenal !

This is the type of movie camera I would get rather than depending on a DSLR "video" mode.

The first link shows a Pentax 06 Zoom for the Q amongst the µ4/3 lenses.

Nope, won't fit.

The specs are pretty insane. It is also likely that it will be missing much of the functionality that makes a cinematic shooting possible, which means users will need to accessorize heavily. Nonetheless, it is a wonderful time to own C-mount lenses. I actually think they made this camera (the pocket cinema camera) as a direct response to the Digital Bolex, which should be amazingly functional.

The doors have been blown open this year at NAB.

Small, handhold video cameras = shaky, unpleasant video. At least I can never hold them still without some assistance.

I didn't bother to pre-order because some people are still waiting over a year for the original one to ship, hopefully their manufacturing doesn't run into anymore issues.

Yeah, he is fully aware that he might not get it. I guess the supply issues were from the sensor manufacturer. Hopefully they have those ironed out.
