Compared to the D7100's AF module, the D600's AF (basically the same as the D7000's) is crappy
A friend switched from the D7000 to the D800 (same module as the D7100 pretty much). Huge difference in his number of keepers but he was shooting a lot of moving subject (kids) shots in low light using flash and narrow DOF.
And the D600 dust problem was real...maybe subject to a manufacturing range, but enough problems to be real...and ugly if you have it.
