First full size images of the A7 and A7r cameras with lenses!

And finally after long search SAR readers found these pics on Digicameinfo! These are 100% real (confirmed via my trusted sources). The image on top shows the 24 megapixel A7 with the 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens. The image below shows the 36 megapixel A7r with the 35mm f/2.8 Zeiss lens. The 28-70mm lens is quite unexpected big (and well made).

Wow, that's one ugly camera design. Hope it takes better images than it makes...

This is a new version made for these cameras and to avoid issues on corners because of the very short flange distance. I hope the A/r can beat the D800E performance..not bad for a camera that costs $800 less than the D800E ($3000 here at Amazon).

A7 and A7r 5% off deal coming for you! In a couple of hours I will share a secret 5% discount code for the A7 and A7r on (subscribe it). You can use it the day you preorder the camera in a specific (well known) US store.

Now people with full frame Pentax lenses could use them on a 36MP full frame sensor camera that is much lower in cost than the Nikon 800E that beat the 645D in the Pentax Forum review.

So it would be harder for Hassy to make it uglier (Lunar), I guess?

I have to echo other comments. It's an ugly camera. I would expect it to be a decent performer, but probably quite a bit behind Nikon's D600 and D800 when it comes to auto focus performance.

It isn't a visually attractive camera, but more so than the early sketches had it. Despite that, I expect it to perform well enough to suit many purposes, even if the AF isn't blazing fast. I doubt it will save Sony from its financial woes, but the combination of size and those lovely Zeiss lenses has to make it attractive to a few people with pockets deep enough. I'd think about it, at the right price, once I've got over the K-3 purchase. Real life comments by thoughtful reviewers will be interesting.

It has the Olympus EM-1 EVF and it might have Olympus AF which is faster than most DSLRs.

At least it wasn't designed by Marc Newson...

Well it's supposed to be faster than the RX100, but I don't know what that means.

They look great, imo. Small, solid, utilitarian. I would love them to have a wealth of controls in the back, and not a touchscreen. I have fat fingers that do terrible with touchscreens.

If I didn't have my heart set on the k-3 (partly because I love my Sigma 50 F1.4 and Tamron 70-200 F2.8 - and the Sony/Zeiss versions are going to be quite a lot more expensive), I might have gone over to these cameras.

My understanding is that Olympus AF is fast with certain lenses and that tracking auto focus is still pretty poor. We'll see, but I'm not expecting anything earth shattering.

Slow with lenses that are designed to work with PDAF. CDAF primes the AF is very, very fast.

The Olympus OM-D E-M1 Full Real World Review | STEVE HUFF PHOTOS

There will be a lot of people who buy this body to use with M-mount glass.

We need to see what the shutter lag is and how fast everything works. The all electronic cameras take a lot more processing power than DSLRs with an OVF and mechanical mirror.
