Im not saying this is a good choice for those who need a camera for Autofocus on FA F DA lenses. The nex is brilliant with Manual lenses. You don't lose functionality with Manual lenses...
functions with manual lenses:
-Full time aperture preview on lcd back and in viewfinder
-Digital zoom style focus assist
-Focus peaking
Does it have IBIS for manual lenses? sorry, Kunzite beats me to this question...

it has that ..you plug the In-body stabilizer accessory into the 1/4" port on the bottom and adjust the height and level by extending the legs to different lengths.
.....ok touche-you got me there
I do not plan on picking one up until they are in stores because you may be right about pentax announcing the ff soon. The way I found out about the Sony was I went in to Henry's to order a Nikon d600 body...and make tha switch. The sony is a switch I can make and still use all my pentax lenses
When you go to Henrys with a pocketful of money, they will sell you anything... of course, you need a FULL Frame (you will have bragging rights)!!

What I mean is that; it is only natural for them to try to convince you to buy 'something' from them.... whether you need it or not.

All this talk about needs. Off course we don't need full frame! We don't need APS-C either. We don't even need cameras or lenses. They're a luxury product. We just want them, nothing more.

If I get 100 euros for each person that now claims FF is not needed, but suddenly changes his mind when the Pentax unicorn FF finally gets there, then I would be worlds first gazillionaire.

Why would they sell me something they don't have!! I told them I wanted a Nikon d600 because Pentax has been dragging their feet too long and Sony Nex doesn't have FF mirrorless yet. My trustworthy sales lady Maggie (a pentaxian whom I bought my k5 from) says "ah but they announced the A7 Last Night". She could have sold me the Nikon d600 for $1700 but instead was honest.

My Pentax lenses are fine where they are, the A7(r) looks more like a digital Minolta XD-7 to me...

What matters more; how the camera looks or how the images look?

That's easy. What is most import is how one looks holding the camera.

I didn't mean to say that the A7 looks similar to the Minolta XD-7, it's far uglier. I'd consider to buy an A7 not for my Pentax lenses but for my old Minolta SR lenses.
