The A7 doesn't have a micro lens array, unfortunately. If you put the two cameras together, they'd make a nice one.

Precisely, but the cameras are different enough that I want both, but I want everything, so what's new. It looks like the 600 dollar price difference is justified. I wish the only difference had been the pixel count. I hope there aren't any cast issues with the native lenses on the A7. The NEX 7 did have some issues with the kit, at wide, so it's not out of the question.

Folks who care more about the look of a camera than they do about the look of the images it produces are not serious about photography. That is alright, but it makes their opinions not very interesting to folks who are serious about photography.
