That is one sweet-looking camera. Unless reviews are terrible, I think my bank account is going to be hurting.

fstoppers.com had managed to screen grab the premature listing of Nikon Df in Amazon...
LINK

Man, the price is around $2,800! Well, for a first release price, it's just right. In fact I was expecting something like $3,000+ just for the body. If I remember, when the D700 came out, the price was something like that... Give it a time, the price will go down...

Well, after some consideration, I put in a pre-order for the silver one with the 50mm 1.8 thru B&H. Didn't do it til about 10 this morning CT, so who knows if I'll get in the first wave or not, but I don't really care about timing. If it comes right after Thanksgiving I'll get a chance to get familiar with it B4 the Christmas holidays, and if not, then it just gives me more time to be sure the savings account doesn't take the whole hit (meaning, I'll likely be selling some current gear to KEH.)
I read all the details on the camera and lens on the Nikon website last night, and it's pretty much what I've been looking for in a camera. Nobody is going to make a camera that hits 100% of my wishlist, but this one is pretty darn close.

The Nikonrumors website has a number of hands-on videos, for anyone interested. The battery is rated for 1400 shots per charge, which sounds pretty amazing to me. Seem like the cameras I have now are lucky to get 1/4 of that.

Only my RX100 and NEX would probably go that low. Certainly not something like the K-5.

This camera looks excellent. Price is steep, but not so much considering FF.
