I only have two Carl Zeiss lenses - the new Carl Zeiss 35mm will be a worthy addition to this collection. I will probably buy the 55mm as well - when it arrives in December.

Carl Zeiss Biogon 2.8/25 ZM

Carl Zeiss Planar 2/50 ZM

Time to get another camera bag Chris?

Seriously though, doesn't look like it will fit into that bag you usually use.

A jaw dropping collection. The 35/1.2 doesn't look too big on that camera.

Looking good.
You going to take some test shots with those lenses?
I'm interested in seeing how the A7r fair with MF lenses on the mount.

Give her some time, it's 11am Saturday in Sydney and she's probably out having fun with the new camera

Okay, I gave up trying to hate this camera and placed my order (expected arrival early December).

I ordered the body, the grip, the quick battery charger, and the remote.

Considering the 55mm f1.8, but holding off for now. Don't think I'll order the 35mm - it's not my favourite focal length and f2.8 isn't awe inspiring.

Anyone else ordered and what did they get?

Somehow I ordered the A7r and ended up being one of the first recipients in England! I'm using leica mount lenses and canons plus an alpha zeiss 135mm f1.8 - love it! My thoughts are here...scroll down for pics with all these lenses..

I love that grip. It's the perfect size to make the camera stable for long lenses.

I bought it so that I can manage the Summicron 90 (heaviest Leica in my collection)

But I discovered yesterday it is quite handy even with the smaller lenses like the Summicron 50 or the Zeiss 25 (the only two lenses I used in the shoot). It really stabilises the camera for a portrait shot.

The grip adds bulk to the camera without any weight. By itself, it is amazingly light. However, if you want a bit of heft to it, add a second battery - with two batteries in the grip, the camera starts feeling like a more "tradtitional" double grip camera like an EOS-1D for example.

Sorry, but I think the grip is butt-ugly. I bet it feels great, though.

I would appreciate any info on the adaptors to the K mount for K, -M , & -A lenses.
Also any info on the charger that comes in the box, is it multi national?
Thanks
