Hi has anyone considered or used the Meike MK-AR7 2.4g Wireless Control Battery Grip for Sony A7 A7r A7s that is selling in Hong Kong for around 82$? Any comments about its use or perceived value would be appreciated.

Chris, are those from a LensBaby? Very cool effect! And, great work over the past few pages.

Now this is an odd one to me.
It seems like there is some sort of conspiracy to not talk about this lens.
Its darn good imo.
Odd in the sense that its one of the lenses that started to make Nikon famous in RF days and has a legendary status in those circles.
Its also fairly common.
And yet so few ppl mention it.
The match to the Summicron 90/2 of its day.

Less common Sonnar design (nowadays), rounded aperture blades and a nicely built hefty lens.
Sharp from f2.5 and a nice bokeh imo.
All at a fraction of the price of a similar lineage Summicron 90/2.
I really think that this lens deserves to be mentioned, bought and used more that it is now.
Darn it, I know better than to judge a lens from your pictures, but those two pictures are real stunners! I've been halfheartedly looking for some sort of LTM lens in the 80-135mm range. I have SLR lenses in that range, but they're all large and awkward on the A7. I did a quick search, but the LTM version isn't that common compared to the S-mount version. How much would you expect to pay for an LTM version? Oh, and I'd love to see more pictures from that lens if you have them.

How about OM lenses? I don't think I've seen any of them in this thread. I picked up a Zuiko 24mm f/2.8 before I took a cross-country trip to see my parents up north. I couldn't be happier. Its color rendition is much more pleasant than the Sigma Super Wide II, and it's far better in edge-to-edge sharpness than the Takumar 24mm. Plus, it's smaller than both of them.

The first two were at f/8, while the last was not stopped down.

It's actually Nik Analog Efex Pro

I have been deliberately avoiding post processing my images (I am a believer of the "get it right in camera" philosophy and I like my pics to look natural and understated) but sometimes the opportunity is too good for me to resist.

Lately I have been processing more and more. The Nik Collection has also improved over time - anyone who bought one ages ago and haven't launched the tools recently will be pleasantly surprised, as I was.

Of course, it is possible to abandon good taste ...

As an alternative to my "crates" photo on the iPhone thread, here is an alternative view in the same location, taken using the FE16-35mm lens

Sydney Festival in Darling Harbour, A7+ FE28-70 kit lens, what do you guys think of the AF of the A7 series? I found it rather slow with the kit lens at f8, not sure if it works better with larger aperture prime lenses though. What is the optimal AF setting for you guys? Do you turn the pre-AF on or off?
