Some from this morning with the A7RII and Minolta 85 f/1.4. I find the Minolta quite an interesting piece of glass. It's a great portrait lens, but I also like it as a short tele on the Sony. It has quite a bit of colour saturation which makes it interesting.

Had a coffee with a friend and his dog:

f/4

f/2.8

f/2.8 - the camera has locked on the hair above his eyes so the eyes aren't sharp, but I love the expression...

and a straight landscape shot:

f/9

Courtesy of my wife, I am lucky enough to have access to MD Minolta glass, specifically the 100mm F3.5. Contrasty, excellent colours, and as demonstrated, rather sharp - even on a Fuji:

A7K with the Canon ltm 100/3.5

Been looking for a small and light short tele RF lens for more casual day outs.
The problem with a lot of the RF options in the short tele FL are that they are pretty heavy (usually of brass).

For casual day outs (esp w/ family), the chance to use a short tele may not always come about, since the normal and wides are used more often.
So there was not much point taking out a bigger/heavier one in many cases.

The Canon 100/3.5 is just right.
Tiny and sharp from f3.5

Very nice, Ishimitis. I bought my A 50 F/1.4 new in the early 1980s. Was $99 IIRC. Have only had it on my
A7 II once. Looks like I will have to try it again.

On Southsea Beach in Portsmouth, UK, a couple were walking along taking selfies. I think he is a lucky guy - she has a great smile...

These two Panos won't have the best justice at 1024px so on flickr there is an 8000px wide version of these: the first is 277mp and the second 185mp in their original form
