NSW Parliament:
Here's some very unscientific test shots. I'll take more over the coming days. I haven't done any major changes to these except a bit of exp adjustment.

Stopped down a little

Wide open I think

Wide open & 28mm.

Wide open & 75mm

Bit of shadow boosting in this one. You can't really see it because of the black feathers but there is a lot of detail in the bird. Colours are very vibrant.

Stopped down around f10ish

My Tamron 28-75 was hardly ever off my k5 , going to have to take it on a
walk around town on the a7

lovely photos Christine , love the one with the books!

shot these today , through the bars of a pen , using the Sel35f28z

Wow, look at the colour and textures in those feathers!

These came out well - were you shooting through wire mesh? If you were, I can't really notice them at all - well done!

Thanks - very nice bokeh in the shots. Colours are just a little muted compared to your other shots but that could be just the subject matter.

Tamron 28-75:

I did some more controlled testing with it compared to the kit zoom. The kit zoom has very good flare and CA resistance (unless there is some in camera raw processing happening). The Tamron does seem more consistantly sharp across various settings. Will do some more testing before deciding to fork out for the la-ea4 adapter.

Thanks - the bokeh is really nice on this lens. And the sunset colour is nice too.

Great shots Christine. No one else is really bothering with these wide angle RF lenses that I've seen. You're really making the most of them despite the weaknesses in the combination.

Yes, the bokeh is a nice surprise. That definitely wasn't a strength of the 17-50. Like you noted above, there is a big difference in the colours between the Tamron and the kit.

Thanks. I notice that vignetting and blurring the corners is one of my favourite post processing techniques, so by using the CV 15mm I skip those steps :-)

#selfietuesday - testing out the PlayMemories Smart Remote Control app. I am disappointed that it doesn't seem to allow me to shoot in Raw, and the shooting options are quite limited.

Apologies for the "baby bump" in the above photo - I put on quite a few kilos over Xmas :-(

The only way to hide the protruding stomach is to do a back shot

Christine, I recently updated the PlayMemories Smart Remote Control app on my a7. An option to shoot RAW is now available.

Thanks. Looks like I can change to Raw+Jpeg on the camera, but not from the phone. Will give it a try for my next selfie :-)

Good to see everyone still enjoying the a7

The red in the bus shot reminds of the red we used to get in film !

tones in the headdress id gorgeous

hopefully il be able to get out and about with my Tamron 28-75 this Sunday , like ive said before ,
really like this lens and what ive seen of the examples photos here , it looks like i'm going to be happy
using on the a7
BTW I tried the Pentax 55-300 on the a7 today "wide open because my DA adapter hasn't arrived "
with very little vignetting so i think its going to be another great option !

Some shots of bicycles in the city - so who said Sydney has a road racing culture? :-)
