Music waiting for dinner, likely shot at f/2.8

Love my lighter AKG headphone, my previous one got stolen, likely shot in f/3.5

Shame that I don't have other things to shoot for test shots

This place deserves a come back, Vietnamese cuisine, Basil Cafe

This is my interim K-mount lens replacement for my DA 21mm f/3.2 that I sold in a pinch. I am still staying put with both full sets of gear in Pentax and Sony. This lens is above average but it can't match the DA 21mm on color. It excels in close focusing shot. Though it is not pancake small, and it is very small wide prime with 52mm filter size. Vignette does happen on corners especially in wide open shots, fringing is good, flare control is decent, overall a solid performer for both aps-c and full frame. It works quite well for street shooting for aps-c. With my recent find in Voiglander 21mm f/1.8, I will let it go for a better home.

Cheers,
Hin

This is a sturdy build lens from Tokina

I find the weight combination with LA-EA4 adapter too heavy for me but after going through some of the 1st week pictures, I withdraw the lens from sale wanting to keep it longer and see I can warm up to the heavy weight in dSLR lenses. It fringes quite a bit on highlights but the LR seem to fix it in lens profile that I borrow from Tokina 17-35mm f/4.0. I wish this lens a bit lighter and it will be a good candidate of wide zoom. I can't afford the Sony 16-35mm f/4.0 Zeiss and hence I settle for this on A mount.

In Pentax K-mount, I have a Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8-4.0 and I love the Tamron though the Tokina is more sturdy and better in build and constant aperture. The Tamron is a bit lighter than the Tokina. Your thoughts and suggestions for alternatives for around $400 is welcome to cover the rough range from 16 to 40. I prefer the range in 17 - 35 over 20 - 35.

Cheers,
Hin

I do like the image out of it, handling is a bit 'meh' really, but for something I just want to mount my MF lenses on it's very good.

Enjoy your trip, we should catch up when you are back.

Cross post from the Pentax lenses on FF Club.

From the monthly Pentax outing here.

M20/4, this is a gem of a lens to me.
So compact that its very easy to take along for any trip.
As if its a DA15ltd of FF (not the nice pointed sunburst though)
Also a lens that I feel that one uses Pentax for. (smallish and portable, at the right f-stop for what it does, instead of just spec sheet chasing)

Other shots with the Vivitar 55/2.8 macro.
Very value for money macro lens imo.

Sony A7R 16 - 35 Very fast shutter speed with ISO 400 f/16. Wishing I'd have switched to 100, but grabbed this shot of a friend of a colleague in Korea in her garden as she takes a photo...

Life Story: captured on a Voigtlander Nokton II 35mm at f1.2

It's amazing how much difference a really fast lens makes. Other people's cameras around me were showing a blank dark screen.
